Training Course On Organisational Design And Behaviour

INTRODUCTION

This is a program which provides a managerial approach to organizational design and the understanding of organizational processes; it comprehensively and clearly deals with organisation structure and operation, the process of management and the behaviour of people at work.

The Program provides the ability to analyze the structure, processes and management of organisations, and the ‘tools’ to search for the most appropriate ways of improving organizational performance and effectiveness. It provides a framework for understanding the order and systems of command through which the work of the organisation is undertaken, and outlines the attention needing to be given to key organizational principles and the consideration of structure. The course explains and shows how to develop organizational effectiveness, and the importance of the role of management as an integrating activity.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

By the end of the course the participant should be able to:

  • Describe the features and benefits of the various models of change and organisation design
  • Decide whether the organisation issue merits organisation design or redesign
  • Make informed structural decisions in relation to the organisation or business issue
  • Assess the organization’s readiness for change
  • Engage stakeholders in the design project
  • Consider the risks involved in the design project
  • Review the project as it proceeds
  • Use techniques and tools to generate stakeholder buy in to the new design
  • Identify the organisation capability needed to sustain flexibility and adaptability.
